Meet the people behind Cars and Commercials
With us since 2007, Guy looks after the sales from our Bournemouth Office. If Mark knows his Transits, Guy will give him a run for his money when it comes to Transporters. He loves his VW Kombi and can regularly be seen carting around his bikes and kayaks in the back. He can also be found tramping around the Dorset countryside or taking numerous holidays. He's definitely not as outdoorsy as this makes him sound and the reality is that he would much rather be in a good restaurant drinking wine. If he has to slum it then it's Chicken Tikka Ceylon all day long.
After completing our Graduate Management Scheme in the summer of 2016 Jim decided that the glamorous world of used van sales was the life for him. We couldn't understand it either but we're pleased he's now helping us expand our Exeter site. Outside of work Jim can be found captaining Kentisbeare Football Club. He eats for England, injures himself regularly and loves a Lamb Rogan Josh.
If you want to know what's going on in the office just ask Lorraine. Despite only being part time and spending most of that time eating crisps nothing gets by her. By far the hardest working member of the team. When not in work Lorraine can be found on the school run, organising PTA events at school or standing on the football touchline cheering on her very talented son. Occasionally she finds the time to play Badminton. Her favourite curry is Prawn Dhansak
Lloyd Shirley | Valeter / Quality Control / Pre-Sales Inspections
Lloyd is much more than a valeter. He's a valeter who hates to have his photo taken! He also completes our multipoint inspections, ensures that all vehicles are prepped to the highest standards and makes our forecourt look awesome. OK not awesome but there are vehicles on tarmac with price boards - what else would you want? He is indispensable to us and if you're lucky he'll also take you out on a test drive. We didn't need to ask about his favourite curry - everybody knows it's his mum's Curried Goat, rice and peas with grilled plantains. Not had goat? Try it, it's really tasty!
Another staff member with 30-years' experience in the motor trade. Dave looks after our ever growing contract hire and leasing department, and despite his growing years he still loves doing a deal. Living in the posh home counties he's an avid football fan and coach who has trained the children of an ex-England captain (the one with the big ears). Recently retired from playing football due to old age and aching knees he has also run the London Marathon dressed as a ballerina. Dhansak seems to be a favourite here but Dave opts for the Chicken Tikka variety.
